After a surprise proposal on a weekend getaway to Slattery Vintage Estates, this couple returned to that very place to hold their romantic wedding celebration! Throughout the planning process, it was important to Laura and David to capture the spirit of Nebraska - embracing the outdoor setting of their venue, local vendors and a rustic yet romantic wedding style. FROM THE BRIDE: Our wedding was entirely designed and orchestrated by us and our friends and family. A labor of love, we wanted to capture the spirit of Nebraska - we featured all Nebraska-made wines and beers for our hosted bar and purchased as much local food as we could. Reflecting back on our wedding day, my favorite memory was when the groomsmen carried our lighted, handmade arch into a field in the dark of night to take photographs. Overall, our wedding day was about the joining of a family, as my husband has a beautiful ten-year-old daughter. She was as much a part of the day as we as the couple were.
