Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Kenzie Brokman and Zach Martin have known one another since middle school, but their relationship took a turn toward romance shortly before their senior year of high school. After seven years of dating, Zach took Kenzie back to re-create their first date at the putt-putt golf course in Lincoln. “The one hole in the middle of the course is where we had our first kiss,” Kenzie says, “and that’s where he proposed.” Kenzie wanted “big, pretty flowers that would pop in the photos,” which Hillis & Co. delivered. On the day of the wedding, big, pretty flakes of snow fell, creating the perfect winter wonderland. Taking advantage of the snowy day, the photographer placed their wedding bands in the fresh powder—Kenzie’s a rose-gold diamond ring, and Zach’s a black band with stags and birch trees to symbolize his love of hunting. During their first-look photos, “Zach started crying, which made me cry,” says Kenzie. The bride walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and soon after, became Mrs. Martin.
